Description
Bring the light of a tropical noon to your world with this pack of eight coconut palms: six single palms, a duo and a trio, with sun-bleached fronds in fresh yellow-green, light grey-brown trunks and clusters of green coconuts under every crown, delivered on a 27 m round ground plate of warm sand. The fronds open wide like fans and catch the sun, bright on top and deep green where they shade each other. When the breeze rises, they sway gently from the tips while the base of each frond stays calm, just as real palms move above a beach. The trunks lean and curve with the irregular grace of palms grown by the sea: plant them along a shore, around a pool, in a resort garden or on a small desert island. The ground plate sets the scene: light dry sand, wide patches of cracked earth and warm orange sand at their heart, blended in soft organic shapes. Avatars walk on it. Use the plate as it is, scale it up to cover a whole beach, or give its material to your own ground. The eight palms share the same textures, so a whole grove costs your visitors no more texture memory than a single palm. ________________________________________ One Series, Three Packs: The same eight palm trees exist in three packs: • Sunlit Palm Trees Pack (this pack): sun-bleached yellow-green fronds and green coconuts • Tropical Palm Trees Pack: deep green fronds, warm red-brown trunks and ripe brown coconuts • Charcoal Palm Trees Pack with String Lights: dark silhouettes for the night, wrapped in glowing string lights The Sunlit and Tropical palms use the same images: mix both packs in one place for a natural variety, at no extra texture cost. The three packs share the same sand ground material as well. The string lights of the Charcoal pack are separate items made for these same palm models: place a string light at the same position and the same rotation as one of your palms of the same model, and it wraps the trunk perfectly. ________________________________________ Technical Details: Palm trees • 8 palm trees: 6 single palms (A to F), 1 duo and 1 trio • Delivered as one collection: the 8 palms in a compact square grid (three in front, the duo and the trio in the middle, three behind) on their sand plate. Place it, then move each palm wherever you like • Fronds sway in the wind (Sansar wind shader with a flow map: still at the base, livelier at the tips) • Two-sided fronds with normal and roughness maps • 4 to 6 coconuts per crown (9 on the duo, 14 on the trio) • Trunk collisions: avatars bump into the trunks and walk freely under the fronds • Pivot at the foot of the trunk, so each palm stands on your ground whatever its lean • Heights from 3.8 m to 7.1 m • About 3.8K to 4K triangles per single palm, 7.8K for the duo, 11.7K for the trio; fronds 1024 px, trunk 512 px • Default draw distance of 384 m (adjustable) Ground plate • 27 m round plate, 162 triangles, walkable collision • Three-layer ground material (dry sand, cracked earth and orange sand) blended by organic zones, with detail maps for a fine grain up close; maps 1024 px, detail maps 512 px • Sits 4 mm above the pivot of the pack: placed on your own ground, it covers it without flickering • To cover more ground: scale the plate up, then multiply the three Uv Scales values of its material by the same factor (x2 for a 54 m plate) to keep the sand at its natural size; the details follow • To use it elsewhere: select the plate and use Copy all material, then select your own surface and use Paste all material. The zones follow the UV layout of the new surface, and Uv Scales sets the size of the grain ________________________________________ See my palm trees in Sansar: https://atlas.sansar.com/experiences/morganeparis/made-in-paris PS: In 2026 I rebuilt my palm trees frond by frond: fronds opened like fans, rounder trunks with a flared foot, new leaf maps and a gentle wind. I hope they bring your world long sunny days by the sea. Enjoy and Keep Good Vibes. Hugs from Morgane.
